Vision Village (望远村) was founded by five high school students who grew up in the United States and Hong Kong. Although we are in different countries, we all have a heart to help others and help those in need. We have experienced international educational resources since we were young and felt the power of knowledge. Therefore, we are well aware of the importance of education and hope to establish a platform that can benefit more students.

Since April 2023, we have begun volunteering at Jiaxian Hope Primary School, had a successful book donation event, and added more than 700 books to the school library. Then, this summer, we held the school’s first ABC International Summer Camp. We hope to bring the knowledge and worldview gained in an international environment to children in these rural areas and give them opportunities to broaden their horizons and experience a different life.

In early 2017, we began to pay more attention to the current education situation in rural schools in China. The first time we walked into the Hecang Village campus was an experience we will never forget. We were shocked to see the huge contrast in educational conditions between our American schools, and we want to build a bridge to close the gap. Therefore, this year, with the joint efforts of our team, Vision Village finally took an important step toward realizing this mission.

ABC International Summer Camp 2023

ABC International Summer Camp 2023 is a 7-day summer camp (from 17/7-23/7). And we have a total number 35 student registration ranging from 7-12 years old. We hope that through the summer camp, we can help rural students gain an understanding of the world and provide more students with the opportunity of international educational exposure, thereby, stimulating their enthusiasm for learning and personal growth. Some of the activities we do during the summer camp include:

• Educational sharing: inspiring students’ thirst for knowledge by telling them about our learning experiences and life overseas.
• English learning: through an immersive English environment, students can be exposed to English naturally, and learn more
• Sports activities: cultivate the students’ sense of cooperation and team spirit through team sports games
• Art creation: stimulate students’ creativity and imagination through different forms of art media, such as oil pastels, origami, etc.
• Dance & music: dance and music classes are organized to enhance students’ self-confidence while cultivating their artistic interests
• International cuisine: by tasting food from different countries, students can understand and be exposed to different cultures
